There are a number of people who would like to create a cookbook. A cookbook of their own with recipes they chose. This would then make it easy to retreive their favourites when they wanted to.

1) Collecting family favourites

There are always recipes that people have that are family favourites. These recipes are meals they had as kids or recipes that they had been given by parents or grandparents. These recipes can be kept alive and would not be lost to the family if they are put in a cookbook.

Over the years most people have managed to put aside a lot of recipes. They store them away for future use by putting them in a box or folder. This is then put away in a cupboard or drawer. These could be about the history of the dish or tips you have picked up over time about how to make it. Selection of a cover for the cookbook is also a way to make it more appealing and individual.

4) Fundraising

It is a popular way of fundraising for some groups and organisations. This can be even more common in these times of the Internet and computers. You could create a cookbook that relates to the organisation and get recipes from members. It may be home cooked meals, budget cooking or an ethnic theme. Anything could be tried.

5) Giving a gift

Most people enjoy a cookbook. A gift of a personal cookbook would be appreciated for the thought that goes into it. It could be a way to share your recipes with them or a collection of their own favourites. As they say, it is the thought that counts.

When you create a cookbook you have a unique item that reflects your tastes. It can be full of your favourites and they can be found quickly when you want them. It can be given away as a personal or family gift with it being made to suit the people who it is given to.
